This small mudroom bench was a lot of fun to build and a great use of this space. Features of the project:
Custom made shaker style, inset drawers with oil rubbed bronze cup pulls. Drawer fronts are made from poplar with plywood panels.
Dovetailed plywood drawer boxes made from 1/2" birch plywood.
Blum - Soft-close drawer slides. Super high quality for smooth action and durability.
Solid red oak bench top. This was particularly challenging as it was sandwiched between three curvy, not-square walls! With some very careful measuring, it was able to be scribed and fit perfectly without the need for caulking or moldings to cover gaps.
Poplar paneling scribed to fit and joints screwed together using pockets screws to ensure those joints stay tight.
Corbels were chosen by the customer and ordered precut and sanded by the manufacturer. All I can take credit for on those is the paint and installation.
